How do I even start another article about a broken heart?
Geez, I was hoping for a happy ending for this one.
But perhaps I better start from the beginning.
Why did I call him partner if we’ve only been together for 8 months?
That’s a good question, and the answer can demonstrate how naive I still am when it comes to falling in love.
Maybe it’s because we made plans for growing older together.
Maybe it’s because the first 6 months were intensely amazing — emotionally and physically, and it felt like we were made for each other.
It was a marvelous honeymoon phase full of commitments and promises.
We talked about the challenges we might face when merging our lives into a joint future and how we could overcome them.
We were an awesome team.
And we leaned towards each other when the odd disagreement occurred, feeling more connected and united as a result.
